About The Position

The Manager of Network Infrastructure and Security is responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of our network and infrastructure environment. This position will work closely with internal teams, leadership, and trusted vendors to support ongoing operations while advancing our security posture and infrastructure strategy.

Responsibilities

Own day-to-day operational health of the organization’s network environment including LAN/WAN, wireless, VPN, routing/switching, and DNS/DHCP.
Maintain and improve network architecture, segmentation, performance tuning, and capacity planning.
Ensure uptime, stability, and resilience across all sites and operational environments.
Lead network lifecycle management (refresh planning, upgrades, standardization).
Maintain clear documentation including diagrams, standards, and configuration baselines.
Lead network security operations including firewall management, secure remote access, intrusion detection/prevention, and network monitoring.
Manage vulnerability scanning, patch coordination, and remediation tracking.
Participate in and lead incident response efforts (investigation, containment, recovery, post-incident improvements).
Recommend and implement security enhancements aligned with best practices (e.g., NIST, CIS Controls).
Support internal security awareness and best practices adoption across teams.
Develop and enforce internal standards for network configuration, change control, and access management.
Support audits and compliance requirements as applicable to the business.
Ensure disaster recovery and business continuity planning for infrastructure systems.
Track and report operational performance metrics, risks, and improvement progress to IT leadership.
Provide leadership, coaching, and technical guidance to peers and junior staff.
Serve as escalation point for complex network and security issues.
Partner with Help Desk, Systems Administration, Applications, and Operations teams to resolve cross-functional issues.
Help strengthen IT processes through documentation, repeatable procedures, and continuous improvement.
Lead infrastructure/security projects such as: Firewall replacements or reconfiguration Network refreshes and upgrades Monitoring/SIEM improvements VPN/MFA improvements Site expansions or relocations
Manage timelines, coordination, communication, and implementation planning.
Ensure changes are secure, documented, and supportable.
