About The Position

The Manager of Market Development is the strategic and technical leader for his or her particular group of markets and is responsible for overall sales and profit growth by market through execution of the market development process and strategic support of the sales and service team.

Requirements

  • Ability to be outwardly focused on understanding our customer’s application requirements and translating that understanding into internal capability development.
  • Five to ten years’ experience in technical sales with direct account management or product line management responsibility.
  • Bachelors of Science in Engineering or other technical degree and/or an equivalent amount of education and experience is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Project management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a market plan that enables leaders to share in the vision for market growth strategy.
  • Identify and support strategic growth opportunities.
  • Create a marketing plan and lead the development of marketing content.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for customer application engineering with an ability to communicate how our products and services can satisfy customer requirements.
  • Lead the company’s product line development (R&D) including production capability and capacity development, as well supply chain development for key products and part families.
  • Develop and manage key supply chain relationships and determine source vs make strategy for key products / part families.
  • Perform strategic financial review for sales, gross profit, and quote (win/loss) trends
  • Develop related internal training documents for the market sales team.
