About The Position

Dude Perfect is a leading entertainment brand known for our thrilling sports videos, epic trick shots, and engaging content that resonates with millions of fans around the world. As we continue to innovate and expand our reach, we are seeking an experienced Manager of Legal Affairs who will support the legal department, including as it relates to, managing contracts and content licensing processes. Position Overview Reporting to the Head of Business and Legal Affairs, the Manager of Legal Affairs will be able to thrive in an entrepreneurial, high-growth environment and, as a key member of the legal team, will assist the department as it continues to build out scalable processes during the next phase(s) of the company’s expansion.

Requirements

• JD required; admission to a state bar and in good standing.
• Minimum of 3-6 years of progressive legal experience, preferably with content licensing, commercial agreements, and corporate transactions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work cross-functionally and with senior leadership.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise discretion with sensitive information, exercise sound judgment, and become a trusted advisor to senior management.
• Results-oriented, gritty, resourceful, and organized team player with strong ethical standards.

Nice To Haves

• Litigation experience is also a plus.
• Prior corporate law firm experience at a top-tier firm is strongly preferred.
• 1-2 years in-house at high growth, private equity or venture-backed companies is a plus.
• Experience in media and entertainment is strongly preferred.
• Experience with AI tools applied to workflow optimization within the legal function.
• Thrives managing several projects, deadlines, and stakeholders in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
• Interacts well with internal colleagues at all levels and across all business functions.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements, including without limitation, sponsorship, brand collaboration, content licensing, and production agreements.
• Advise the company on issues pertaining to content creation and distribution, live experiences and events, and production elements in alignment with the company’s broader business objectives and legal compliance initiatives.
• Maintain and assist with improving legal processes, including contract template development and contract intake and tracking.
• Provide support regarding intellectual property and brand protection matters, including trademark use, brand guidelines, and licensing rights, approvals, and enforcement.
• Review, identify, and provide support on privacy and data protection matters.
• Provide support with due diligence, drafting, and negotiations in connection with potential corporate transactions.
• Assist with corporate governance matters, including development of Board of Directors related materials and other similar projects as needed.
• Assist with managing outside counsel and ensuring efficient use of legal resources.
