About The Position

We are creating a brand-new role for a Manager of Information Technology to architect, scale, and lead our IT and security foundation across Solen and our portfolio companies.This is a rare opportunity to build from zero, to design systems, processes, and governance that support a fast-growing multi-entity environment. You will be the owner of our IT strategy and execution for Solen Software Group HQ, 10+ operating companies (and growing). You will establish standards, modernize systems, strengthen security, and ensure every team member, from a new junior hire to a CEO, has the infrastructure and tools to thrive. This is not a “keep the lights on” IT role. It is a strategic and hands-on leadership position where you will shape the foundation of our technology environment for years to come.

Requirements

  • 5+ years leading IT infrastructure, security, and systems in SaaS or tech environments
  • Experience building IT from scratch or transforming environments during rapid growth (bonus: PE/holdco experience)
  • Experience with MDM solutions, identity and access management, endpoint security tools and cybersecurity best practices
  • Networking Fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, VLAN, VPN, Firewalls, IDS/IPS)
  • Strong proficiency in Windows, Entra ID, Active Directory, and PowerShell scripting; working knowledge of macOS administration
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001)
  • Demonstrated leadership or team-building experience

Nice To Haves

  • Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator
  • CompTIA Security+ or equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Device Lifecycle Management: Manage device compliance with tools like Microsoft Intune or similar MDM solutions for patching, compliance, and remote support
  • Compliance, Security & Cybersecurity: Establish conditional access policies, cybersecurity policies, incident response protocols, and security awareness programs
  • Identity and Access Management: Administer and maintain O365/Google Workspace environments, Active Directory, and Entra ID
  • Employee Onboarding/Offboarding: Automate onboarding/offboarding workflows using integrations with HRIS systems and scripting
  • Observability: Monitor system performance, uptime, and security using approved observability tools, while providing KPIs to the leadership team
  • Documentation: Document systems, configurations, and runbooks in a centralized document repository
  • Support: Troubleshoot complex access, network, device, and application issues (Tier 2/3 support)
