About The Position

Rillet serves accounting and finance teams. Our customers are the financial brains of their companies. Our job is to help them run the numbers with impossible speed, accuracy, and insight. Rillet is an AI-native ERP that can drive a zero-day close. We are different because of our unified source-of-truth data model, hundreds of best-in-class native integrations (Stripe, Ramp, Salesforce, etc), automated & auditable workflows, multi-entity consolidation, and quickly expanding army of specialized AI agents (e.g., accrual, audit, P&L flux, board decks, etc). These earn us a consistently perfect customer satisfaction score. High-growth AI customers like Windsurf, Postscript, and Finch love our ship velocity, because their financial stack needs to scale as quickly as they do. This huge market is ours to take. We have raised $100M from leading investors (including Sequoia, a16z, Iconiq, Oak HC/FT, and First Round) to help everyone run their numbers at the speed of AI. At Rillet, we’re hiring a Director / Lead, Forward Deployment to own how our product gets implemented at scale through partners, without sacrificing quality, speed, or rigor. This role sits within Partnerships and is responsible for designing and operating the systems that allow partners to implement Rillet independently, confidently, and correctly. You will define the forward deployment model from first principles: when and how we embed, how knowledge transfers, how partners graduate to independence, and how field learnings feed back into product. This is a senior, hands-on role for someone who has lived inside real implementations and knows where process breaks under pressure. You lead by doing. You care deeply about execution quality, edge cases, and repeatability. You are motivated by building systems that eliminate heroics and reduce long-term dependency, not by slide decks or surface-level strategy. You will set the bar for implementation excellence, act as the escalation point for complex issues, and build a function that scales as Rillet moves upmarket and expands its partner ecosystem. We’re looking for teammates who value in-person collaboration and are within commutable distance of our NYC or San Francisco offices (or willing to relocate). Team members are required to work in-office Tuesdays and Thursdays, plus one additional flexible in-office day. Certain roles may require additional in-office time based on function.

Requirements

  • 7–12+ years of experience across financial implementation, solutions engineering, forward deployment, technical enablement, or systems consulting roles
  • Prior experience leading or scaling customer-facing technical teams
  • Big 4, systems integrator, ERP/financial systems, or enterprise consulting background
  • Deep experience supporting complex SaaS implementations or technical workflows, especially within office of CFO
  • Strong systems thinker with excellent judgment around tradeoffs and edge cases
  • Proven ability to build repeatable, scalable enablement models
  • High product curiosity and track record of becoming a deep product expert
  • Comfort operating at both the strategic and tactical level
  • Clear, structured communicator who can simplify complex behaviors for diverse audiences
  • Strong ownership mindset with a bias toward action

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in high-growth or early-stage technology companies strongly preferred
  • Accounting experience not required
  • Preferred but not required: experience in accounting, finance, or FinTech roles

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end forward deployment and partner implementation enablement strategy
  • Design and evolve the model by which partners are onboarded, enabled, and graduated to independent implementation capability
  • Embed directly with partners and customers during early or high-complexity implementations when needed
  • Set standards for configurations, workflows, and implementation quality across partners
  • Build and maintain scalable partner-facing enablement assets (playbooks, guides, checklists, certification paths)
  • Define readiness criteria and success metrics for partner independence
  • Identify recurring implementation failure modes and turn them into systemic fixes
  • Serve as the escalation point for complex implementation and product issues
  • Partner closely with Product and Engineering to translate field learnings into roadmap input
  • Hire, mentor, and lead forward deployment team members over time as volume and complexity grow
  • Continuously refine the forward deployment operating model as Rillet scales upmarket and expands partner breadth
