DUTIES The function of the Manager of Distribution and Inventory Control is to implement systems to help Market of Choice manage product ordering, inventory management, shrink reduction, and Distribution Center systems. The position works closely with the EVP of Operations and Sales Managers to identify ways to reduce on hand inventory and shrink at the stores leading to improved cash flow and gross margin. They will work on store level training to ensure the Market Of Choice brand experience is enhanced by better in-stock position and ensuring top items are always available for our customers. At the MCDC this role oversees MCDC operations and manages the flow of purchasing. As a Manager of Distribution and Inventory Control, some of your responsibilities will include: Receive and process Purchase Orders from Sales Managers Store procurement Inventory management Delivery Tracking Distribution Center Receiving Distribution Center Slotting Controlling Expenses Customer and employee relations Training and Development QUALIFICATIONS The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following: In-depth knowledge of distribution, inventory and safety Excellent written and verbal communication skills The ability to use various office software, including word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, calendaring, e-mail management and the Internet Create, compose and edit written and electronic materials To be considered for this position, please complete the online application (including cover letter and resume).
