About The Position

JOB SUMMARY: The Manager of Digital Transformation will lead MKC’s technology-driven initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, employee and customer engagement, and data-driven decision-making. This role is responsible for shaping and executing the digital transformation roadmap by evaluating current systems, identifying opportunities for innovation, and implementing secure, scalable solutions. The position combines strategic leadership with hands-on project delivery, ensuring MKC remains competitive and future-ready.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years experience in IT project management and business systems analysis.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in data architecture, analytics, and design.
  • Minimum 2 years experience managing vendors and technology partnerships.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills; ability to influence at the C-suite level.
  • Working knowledge of current hardware, software, and cloud technologies.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Experience with Agile/DevOps practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft technologies (Power BI, SharePoint, Power Platform, Dynamics 365).
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and compliance standards.
  • Safety glasses, hard hats, and steel toed boots where required.
  • Job involves inside office work, limited outside work possibly around grain elevators.
  • Travel requirements will be minimal.
  • This position may require day trips to MKC locations during application rollouts.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with leadership to define and execute MKC’s digital transformation strategy.
  • Identify emerging technologies (AI, automation, cloud solutions) that align with business goals.
  • Champion user-centric design and data-driven solutions to improve internal processes and experience.
  • Collaborate with business unit leadership to identify opportunities for technology-driven improvements.
  • Assess existing systems and processes; recommend improvements for efficiency and scalability.
  • Develop business cases, functional requirements, and UI prototypes for approved projects.
  • Define metrics, analytics, and reporting to deliver actionable insights internally and externally.
  • Plan, manage, and deliver IT application projects across multiple business divisions
  • Manage project scope, timelines, and budgets; ensure successful outcomes across business units.
  • Mentor team members and foster a culture of collaboration and innovation.
  • Develop and execute test plans for new software rollouts and enhancements.
  • Ensure compliance with cybersecurity best practices and data protection standards.
  • Assisting Director of IT in building and managing the IT budget
  • Lead and develop the Digital Transformation team, promoting continuous learning and growth.
  • Oversee day-to-day departmental activities and ensure alignment with organizational goals
