About The Position

The Manager, Data Management is responsible for the overall leadership, direction, and effectiveness of the Data Management function across two different areas of business: Retail and Truck Care. This role oversees the Supervisors supporting each side of the business, ensures alignment of data standards and execution, and drives scalable processes that support business growth and operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Demonstrated experience managing teams and supervisors in a data management, supply chain, operations, or systems-driven environment
  • Proven experience leading process development, system integration efforts, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Strong understanding of enterprise data ecosystems, including item setup, validation, and maintenance across multiple systems
  • Proven ability to lead managers or supervisors, set direction, and drive alignment across teams with different operational focuses
  • Strong cross-functional communication and partnership skills, with the ability to translate business needs into effective data strategies
  • Strategic mindset combined with strong execution, prioritization, and decision-making capabilities
  • Ability to work in a standard office environment, including extended periods of computer use and sustained visual focus on detailed data

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and oversight for the Data Management organization, including direct management of the Retail and Truck Care Data Management Supervisors
  • Establish and maintain consistent data management standards, governance practices, and performance expectations across both sides of the business
  • Oversee item setup, data validation, maintenance, and issue resolution processes, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and scalability
  • Partner with cross-functional leaders to support system integrations, new initiatives, and expansion efforts across Retail and Truck Care
  • Drive process development and continuous improvement across SAP, Synity SKP, PLM, and other data management and validation tools
  • Serve as the senior escalation point for high-impact or systemic data issues, guiding resolution and corrective action
  • Monitor data quality trends, operational performance, and resource needs, adjusting priorities and strategies to support business objectives
  • Support departmental growth through workforce planning, capability development, and succession planning
  • Ensure the Data Management function evolves to meet changing business needs while maintaining strong ownership, accountability, and data integrity
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of departmental goals, including the training of new staff members, and development of long-term training materials
