About The Position

The Manager, Development (Acquisitions) plays a lead role in the development and execution of acquisition strategy and in the deal negotiation/structuring, financial analysis, deal execution and market research and analysis. The Manager reports to the Senior Vice President, Development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required, MBA or other business-related advanced degree desirable
  • One to four years’ experience in acquisition-related business/activities
  • Experience developing financial models, pro formas and projections
  • Knowledge of Company’s core businesses
  • Strong analytical and problem resolution skills with high attention to detail and organization
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) skills
  • Extensive knowledge of current industry trends, standards, and practices
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally (verbal and written) with all levels of personnel internal and external to the company
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to develop rapport and relationships with owners/managers of target companies
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced and dynamic environment
  • Ability to conduct research and market analysis
  • Highly self-motivated and directed
  • Keen attention to detail

Responsibilities

  • Works with others to develop a strategy to guide the Company’s acquisition focus areas
  • Does market research and analysis to identify acquisition opportunities
  • Obtains and analyzes business and financial information from target companies
  • Develops financial pro formas and models related to acquisition opportunities and works with operations to determine fits with existing operations including potential business synergies
  • Structures and negotiates transaction terms in consultation with the Senior Vice President, Development
  • Leads the due diligence process for potential acquisitions
