About The Position

Opened in 2010, Palmdale Regional Medical Center is a 184-bed, acute care hospital located in Palmdale, CA. One of Southern California's newest hospitals and featuring all-private patient rooms, Palmdale Regional provides high-quality, award-winning patient care to residents and visitors of the Antelope Valley and surrounding areas. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited College or University as a Registered Nurse.
• Three (3) to Five (5) years of clinical experience in Case Management or Utilization Review.
• Two (2) years management or supervisory experience in Case Management or Utilization Review required, acute care experience highly preferred.
• Current license as a Registered Nurse in the State of California.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR Certification through the American Heart Association.
• CPUR, CPUM, Case Manager Certification (CCM) or other national certification in Utilization Review or Case Management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, facilitate, and coordinate the Care Management system.
• Evaluate patient care outcomes and financial outcomes impacted by the Care Management system.
• Collaborate with hospital departments, medical staff, Home Health Care/Hospice agencies, durable medical equipment companies, nursing homes, and others to ensure efficient and high-quality patient care coordination.
• Manage operational functions of the department including staffing, scheduling, performance management, and financial/productivity.
• Assist in teaching others how to analyze patient care data and present it to meet organizational goals.
• Follow Service Excellence standards and ensure compliance by department associates.
