About The Position

Responsibilities: Oversees, monitors, and evaluates the quality and content of career technical instruction and D/E. Provides supervision, training, assessment, and leadership for departmental staff. Makes provision for adjustment of class sizes to increase utilization of staff or to cover absences. Coordinates and monitors CTST projects. Reviews and monitors student training, TARs, documentation, behavior and accountability. Oversees and manages student performance. Reviews students' admissions folders to ensure student accommodations are met as required. Assesses diverse needs of students and adjusts the structure of the program to address those needs; recommends policy and procedural changes. Establishes the CTT program mission strategic plans, objectives, and goals. Assesses and evaluates program effectiveness. Advises and counsels students and assists instructors with difficult issues. Works with the Center's NTC business partners to identify or develop the appropriate curriculum and manage programs. Prepares and controls the departmental budget. Plans, organizes and controls the use of overtime and on-call staff to insure compliance with Center and ETR policy and procedures. Skills/Competencies: Demonstrated knowledge of management practices; proven ability to lead and support a team Knowledge of effective instructional strategies, classroom management and content field Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and advanced knowledge in implementing plans to respond to CTT related issues. Ability to understand, control and track direct spending and labor budgets Ability to quickly learn Job Corps methodologies and strategies Sound time management, organizational and communication skills Proficient in the use of computer software (Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc) Requirements: Bachelor's degree in education or services or related field. An e quivalent combination of education and experience may substitute for the degree requirement on a year for year basis. Three years related experience; one of which was in a lead or supervisory capacity. Must possess valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
