The Manager of Business Solutions – Marketing & Business Development (“BD”) serves as the portfolio owner for all technology solutions supporting the firm’s marketing, client development, and business development functions. This role bridges business needs and technical execution, ensuring that tools and platforms enhance client engagement, support business strategy, and deliver measurable value. The Manager will collaborate closely with the Chief Marketing and Business Development Officer, Infrastructure and Information Security and external vendors to drive continuous improvement and optimize technology use across the BD organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business, Marketing, or a related field required; relevant certifications or advanced degrees are a plus.
  • 3–5 years of experience managing or supporting business technology solutions, preferably within a law firm, professional services, or corporate marketing environment.
  • Familiarity with Marketing and BD systems such as CRM (Interaction, Salesforce, Peppermint), marketing automation, experience management (Foundation), and analytics/reporting tools.
  • Understanding of data integration concepts, APIs, and workflow automation.
  • Experience collaborating across technical and non-technical teams to deliver business-focused solutions.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and project coordination skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
  • This position will require physical presence in Proskauer’s offices on a regular basis (at least 3x per week, or more, if it becomes the policy of the Firm or as business needs require).

Responsibilities

  • Portfolio Leadership & Technology Strategy Serve as the portfolio owner for all Marketing and BD technology platforms, including CRM, experience management, proposal automation, marketing automation, and analytics tools.
  • Support the development and execution of the technology roadmap for Marketing and BD systems, ensuring alignment with firm priorities and stakeholder objectives.
  • Evaluate current systems and processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and recommend technology enhancements or new solutions.
  • Monitor industry trends and emerging tools relevant to marketing and client development in professional services.
  • Liaison & Cross-Functional Collaboration Act as the primary liaison between the Marketing/BD teams and, ETT, Infrastructure and Information Security to ensure technology solutions are aligned with business needs and technical standards.
  • Partner with colleagues in Applications, Infrastructure, Information Security, Data Strategy other business services teams to ensure seamless integration across firm systems.
  • Support coordination with other technology portfolio owners to maintain alignment on firmwide initiatives.
  • Custom Development, Integrations & Reporting Manage requirements gathering and testing for system enhancements, integrations, and reporting needs.
  • Partner with internal developers and third-party vendors to deliver enhancements, ensuring usability and scalability.
  • Support the design and maintenance of integrations between CRM, marketing automation, and other business systems to ensure consistent and accurate data flow.
  • Assist with the development of dashboards and analytics to support Marketing and BD initiatives.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Change Enablement Collaborate with Marketing and BD leaders to understand business goals and translate them into technology requirements.
  • Facilitate training, documentation, and user communications to support adoption and effective use of systems.
  • Collect and analyze user feedback to identify opportunities for ongoing improvement and value realization.
  • Governance & Operational Oversight Support governance processes to evaluate, prioritize, and track Marketing and BD technology initiatives.
  • Monitor system usage, data quality, and performance to ensure ongoing optimization.
  • Assist in managing vendor relationships, including evaluating service levels, reviewing deliverables, and coordinating software renewals or upgrades.
