About The Position

The mission of the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless is to work collaboratively toward the prevention of homelessness and the creation of lasting solutions for homeless and at-risk families, children, and individuals throughout Colorado. The Manager of Annual Giving brings creativity and strategy together to inspire generosity, expand our donor base, and increase annual support for the Coalition’s impact on the community. Through compelling storytelling and multi-channel campaigns, this role connects donors to our mission and drives meaningful growth in annual giving while achieving measurable fundraising results.

Requirements

  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in a professional fund development role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field from accredited college or university or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum three (3) years' experience with oversight of direct mail or fundraising campaigns, or related equivalent experience
  • Ability to provide consistent customer service skills; effective interpersonal/assertive communication skills demonstrating a high degree of emotional intelligence.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications and fundraising databases/customer moves management applications, preferably Blackbaud’s Raiser’s Edge.
  • Ability to manage authentic, ongoing relationships with various constituents.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment with respective stakeholders including finalizing applications to meet submission deadlines.
  • Collaborates cross-departmentally with Coalition staff to grow & contribute to the success of program objectives, culture, & a positive working environment.
  • Ability to communicate information clearly and effectively through multiple mediums to diverse audiences.
  • Valid driver’s license required. This requirement may be waived, if necessary, based on overall candidate experience and current needs of the business.

Responsibilities

  • In collaboration with the Vice President of Philanthropy, develops and implements the annual fund campaign strategy, setting goals for donor acquisitions, renewals, and works to intentionally diversify donor base at the annual fund level.
  • Responsible for the creation and production of multi-channel communications including print direct mail pieces per year, email campaigns, text campaigns, and other materials.
  • Effectively shares the Coalition’s mission, vision, and philosophy of service through compelling storytelling and content creation. Identify and interview consumers, donors, volunteers, staff, and other constituents to produce stories, campaigns, and calls to action.
  • Utilizes data and reports to evaluate donor engagement, acquisition, renewal, and ROI across campaigns; provides insights and recommendations to refine campaign strategy, improve outcomes, and inform leadership decisions.
  • Cultivates a pipeline of donors through research, strategic solicitation, and stewardship in partnership with Major Gift Officers.
  • Utilizes systems to produce specialized fundraising and crowdfunding campaigns for prospective donors and third-party events
  • Represents the organization at community events and third-party fundraisers through presentations and public speaking to strengthen visibility and relationships.
  • Ensure timely & accurate use of all company systems as required while maintaining complete up-to-date records and any future upgrades as directed.
  • Performs other job duties as assigned.
