How you will make an impact Lead accounting operations for Mitchell & Ness, ensuring accurate daily, weekly, and monthly financial reporting. Oversee preparation and review of journal entries, accruals, and expense allocations. Manage recurring schedules and deliverables related to the month-end close process. Identify trends, analyze variances, and recommend strategic actions to improve financial performance. Recommend updates to accounting policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Oversee preparation of intercompany schedules and partner with Fanatics Corporate Accounting on reconciliations. Serve as a subject matter expert on business processes tied to assigned general ledger accounts. Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, company policies, and SOX requirements. Partner cross-functionally across departments to support business growth and improve financial workflows. Prepare and review ad hoc analyses, reporting requests, and special projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Advanced Excel proficiency (Pivot Tables, VLookups).
  • Strong collaboration skills to work with leadership and global teams.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to process improvement.

Nice To Haves

  • CPA (Certified Public Accountant) preferred.
  • Prior experience in supervisory or leadership roles strongly preferred.
  • Experience with NetSuite or Oracle a plus.
