About The Position

The Nurse Manager will oversee two youth units and one adult unit at the Behavioral Health Pavilion near Community Hospital North. This position will achieve the goals and objectives of the department through the development of new partnerships between team members, physicians, and the network, consistent with the values, mission, and the vision of Community Health Network. The Manager serves as a leader in providing excellent service, clinical standards, and patient satisfaction goals, including patient/physician relationships and staff rounding. This position will ensure staff meets departmental workload and assignments reflect appropriate utilization of personnel, scope of practice, competencies, patient needs, and level of care. The Manager will utilize evidence-based practices regarding patient mix, resulting in improved clinical outcomes, and increased patient satisfaction.

Requirements

  • 5 or more years of RN experience required.
  • 3 or more years of management/leadership experience required.
  • 3 or more years of behavioral health experience strongly preferred.
  • 2-year / associate degree from NLN, CCNE, or ACEN required.
  • Bachelor’s degree required within 5 years of assuming the role.
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse by the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency.
  • Certification required in a relevant specialty or Nursing Administration within three years of assuming the role.
  • Knowledge and ability to apply the Performance Improvement philosophy.
  • Ability to manage financial resources, including departmental budgets.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, negotiate, be flexible, and problem-solve.
  • Understand the change process.
  • Demonstrate leadership competency in effectiveness standards.
