About The Position

At Mass General Brigham, we are redefining how hospital-level care is delivered. Through our Home Hospital program, patients who would traditionally require a hospital stay can receive acute, hospital-quality care in the comfort of their own homes. We are seeking an innovative and collaborative Nurse Manager to support the North Region Home Hospital teams aligned with Mass General Hospital and Salem Hospital. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required; Master’s Degree in Nursing preferred
  • Active Massachusetts RN license required
  • BLS required; ACLS preferred
  • At least 2 years of clinical nursing experience required.
  • At least 2-3 years of progressive nursing leadership experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong foundation in hospital-based care delivery required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with program implementation, change management, and/or decentralized care models (e.g., Home Hospital) strongly preferred.
  • Union experience highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Fosters a culture of clinical excellence, innovation, and patient-centered care.
  • Represents Home Hospital nursing leadership across system-wide forums and committees.
  • Conducts performance evaluations and support staff development, coaching, and mentorship.
  • Ensures clinical practice compliance through quality monitoring, audits, and ongoing education.
  • Leads team meetings and drive process improvement initiatives while maintaining strong team communication.
  • Partners in the design, implementation, and evaluation of evolving workflows and care pathways.
  • Leads and supports change management efforts as the program continues to grow and scale.
  • Manages staffing schedules to ensure balanced coverage and operational efficiency.
  • Monitors budgets, position control, and contribute to workforce planning strategies.
  • Collaborates with nursing supervisors and interdisciplinary stakeholders to optimize daily operations and patient throughput.
  • Participates in labor-management discussions and union-related processes.
