Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (Required) or enrolled in an accredited program
  • BLS American Heart E-Card (BLS AHA ECARD) - American Heart Association
  • BLS Cert American Heart_non ecard (BLS AHA) - American Heart Association
  • Registered Nurse License (RN LICENSE) - State of Florida (FL)
  • Three (3) years nursing experience
  • One (1) year of supervisory experience
  • Critical thinking skills
  • Effective communications skills
  • Decisive judgment
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action

Responsibilities

  • Manages staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction and conflict management.
  • Performs and oversees scheduling, recruitment, labor utilization/retention, payroll and student engagements.
  • Assists with developing specific departmental goals, standards, and objectives which directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization.
  • Assesses the quality of patient care delivered.
  • Evaluates needs of patients and families and provides patient and family centered care.
  • Manages complaints and conflicts through to resolution.
  • Monitors departmental budgets, regulatory compliance.
  • Determines and justifies needs for systems/equipment/supplies purchases, monitors usage, and oversees proper working order and/or stock supplies.
