The Nurse Manager is a leader within the health system who demonstrates proficiency in all Quality leadership skills. This role will be for the Operating Room at Winter Haven Hospital.

Requirements

  • 3 years RN experience and 2 years of Healthcare Leadership with a BSN.
  • 2 years of Nursing Professional Development Practitioner/Clinical Educator experience and 6 months as Assistant Nurse Manager with a BSN.
  • 1 year in Nursing leadership with MSN and RN Certification is required.
  • A background in Surgical Services is highly preferred.
  • BLS - Required.
  • Registered nurse license - Required.
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing - Required.

Responsibilities

  • Expertly manages the care of a patient population and practices expert critical thinking skills when in the clinical setting.
  • Responsible for appropriate utilization of team resources to effectively and efficiently provide clinical services and quality patient outcomes.
  • Accountable for planning, organizing and controlling all aspects of daily operations.
  • Key responsibilities include staffing, fiscal management, inventory management, quality improvement, team member accountability, accreditation standards, team member coaching and mentoring, education, physician engagement, and accountability for the patient experience.
  • Assumes 24-hour responsibility for a patient care unit and acts as a liaison between patients, team members, physicians, other customers, and administration.
  • Promotes evidence-based clinical care that exemplifies the pursuit of clinical excellence.
