Summary The Manager NPI will be part of the Design Transfer and commercialization team supporting an assigned platform and is responsible for driving the design transfer and commercialization activities in support of the platform products. Collaborating with the Director - Design Transfer and Commercialization, Manager NPI will be part of the Integrated Supply Chain team, they will work closely with platform peers in BD Excellence, CTW, Supply Chain, Quality, Regulatory, R&D, Finance, HR, Med Affairs, Marketing, GIE and commercial organizations. They will be responsible for the development and successful execution of project plans in support of the ISC strategies including network optimization, cost-out initiatives, and capital investments.

Requirements

  • Engineering bachelor's degree with at least (5) years of related experience in engineering; OR Master’s degree with (3) years of related experience; OR PhD degree with (2) years of related experience in product development environment with strong focus in commercialization.
  • R&D and Portfolio management experience.
  • Operational excellence, quality, regulatory, eye for business, and finance sophisticated knowledge in cost accounting and capital management.
  • Knowledgeable in ERPs and production systems environment.
  • Strong technical expertise in project management and operations management with solid understanding in Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma (GB/BB certification preferred).
  • Communication skills with all levels of the organization

Responsibilities

  • Drive integration of new products into manufacturing operations, including design transfer, process readiness, and production ramp-up.
  • Handle project activities with the accountability for successful completion of all deliverables to the business and develop project plans and schedule, scope and objectives.
  • Identify risk, develop mitigation strategies, alternative solutions, resolve issues, action item follow up, etc. in collaboration with multi-functional groups.
  • Translate strategic objectives into actionable initiatives.
  • Champion Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles by applying tools, analysis, and multi-functional reviews to ensure robust, scalable designs.
  • Support early-phase builds and ensure smooth transitions into full-scale manufacturing.
  • Assess and develop supplier capabilities to meet design and quality requirements; collaborate closely with suppliers to resolve technical challenges and align on specifications.
  • Lead supplier qualification requirements, contract manufacturers, and custom material providers, including validation activities and test method development.
  • Support IQ/OQ/PV activities both internally and at supplier sites, ensuring documentation meets quality system requirements (e.g., Design Reviews, Drawings, FMEAs, BOMs, Routers).
  • Coordinate tooling and process capability studies as required.
