We are seeking a Manager, Mortgage Collections & Loss Mitigation for the NOLA Home Loan Resolution & Recovery Department. The Resolution and Recovery Manager oversees the daily operations of a team of employees engaged in the negotiation, documentation and coordination of real estate loan workouts including both retention and non-retentions options. This role holds primary responsibility for the application of the appropriate loss mitigation strategies up to and including the management of real estate owned properties to minimize loss to the credit union. This individual must have extensive knowledge of mortgage servicing regulation and real estate law as it applies to collection and loss mitigation for real estate loans. The use of critical thinking skills and the ability to solve problems as they develop is required. The role requires understanding and continued education of all internal and external policies and procedures, federal and state regulations and investor guidelines. Competence and continued education and development of technical skills and systems used to perform the duties of this role are required.
