About The Position

The Manager Mobile Health Program is responsible for the overall operational management of the mobile screening van. This position will obtain new community and corporate partners through networking and working collaboratively with Population Health and Community Affairs/Marketing at UH. This position will provide supervisory oversight to employees supporting mobile health; maintain the community outreach schedule; develop workflows and processes related to mobile health and patient hand -off policies to departments at UH. Importantly, this individual will tract metrics demonstrating success and maintain the grant budget funding for the unit. A strong collaborative relationship with NJCEED/SAVE programs is important. Insuring compliance with UH policies; quality goals; grant standards and operational goals, including volume expectations and financial goals is required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health, Health Education, Population Health, or a related field (required).
  • Five (5) years of experience in the following areas: Program management and administration Program development Resource planning Public health Public education Clinical healthcare experience (e.g., Nurse) Budgeting and staffing
  • At least one (1) year in a lead or supervisory capacity.
  • Outstanding communication, presentation, facilitation, and writing skills required.
  • Equivalent experience, education, and/or training may be substituted for the education requirements on a year-for-year basis.

  • Master’s Degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develops workflows and policies for the mobile health screening program.
  • Develops relationships with community partners, corporate partners, and grantors. Develops an aggressive event scheduling workplan to ensure the van is fully productive in meeting volume targets.
  • Oversees that the program adheres to grant guidelines and contract.
  • Works with the UH Foundation to maintain metric compliance.
  • Tracks grant budgets and submits grant reports as required.
  • Works with the UH Foundation collaboratively to prepare the grant application.
  • Works with Oncology department to ascertain personnel spending on a regular basis.
  • Oversees the financial counseling services connecting patients to charity care and other services.
  • Develops and oversees workflows related to patient hand off to University Hospital to ensure the coordination of follow-up care and continuum of care for all patients with abnormal results
