Department OBGYN - CNM Job Summary The Manager of Midwifery Education and Professional Development at Denver Health will be a master's prepared advanced practice Nurse-Midwife from an accredited school of nursing with a demonstrated reputation of excellence in clinical care. The Manager of Midwifery Education and Career Development will have demonstrated or willingness to undergo training in leadership skills, hospital operations and performance metrics, and demonstrated to be very skilled in teaching and mentoring other providers and students. The Manager of Midwifery Education and Professional Development, under the direct supervision and guidance of the Director of Midwifery, will be responsible for the development and implementation of evidence-based clinical guidelines, leading initiatives to evaluate and implement best practices, overseeing the onboarding and orientation of new graduate advanced practice providers and providing mentorship for newly hired advanced practice providers. The Manager of Midwifery Education and Professional Development will be responsible for the professional performance, quality of care and creating a safe learning environment for the Obstetric Emergency Room, Labor and Delivery and Postpartum units, including providing direct leadership and supervision for designated CNMs and APPs.
