About The Position

The Role: Entegris is currently seeking a Materials Manager t o join our Advanced Purity Solutions Division. This position will be at our San Luis Obispo, CA facility. The Materials Manager will have the responsibility to ensure that our production schedule is efficient and able to capture the needs of internal and external customers. You will work with business units, procurement, planners, I/T, customer service and other appropriate resources to strategically plan and coordinate the flow of materials and information from customers through order fulfillment. In this role you will lead a team of production planners and partner directly with the Centralized Planning and Buying extended team on strategic and future project-related improvements and changes. The Materials Manager is also responsible for the strategic direction of the warehouse teams and will partner with operations and other key functional partners to ensure that Entegris is able to remain competitive. The manager will report directly to the Director of Operations. What You’ll Do: Develop, implement, and sustain policies, procedures, and material control systems. Manage a team of 7 direct reports including warehouse and shipping supervisors, production planners and others in regard to daily coaching, performance management, discipline, and succession planning. Ensure materials are planned to company and customer requirements, while maintaining acceptable inventory levels. manufacturing and engineering. Develop production schedules and coordinate the efficient movement of materials in support of manufacturing and engineering. Prepare material requirement plans using enterprise resource planning systems as well as assist with establishing, maintaining, and improving the production control system Partner with Global Supply Chain, Supplier Quality and Marketing to ensure supplier and supply chain strategies are robust. Support divisional S&OP process through analysis and recommendations to create an effective demand management process. Implements a lean approach to materials management including capacity models and processes that enable effective planning and lead time strategies Actively collaborates and develops relationships with other business stakeholders to drive business process improvements. Proactively identify solutions in warehousing and scheduling that increase efficiency and performance toward improving delivery, lead time and cost. Create development plans for materials management team members and ensure talent pipeline is in place for key functions. Collaborate with Manufacturing and the Business Unit (BU) to optimize inventory levels to ensure premier customer service. Create a healthy and safe work environment for all employees. Any other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management.
  • 7+ years materials management experience, including manufacturing work experience in materials/production planning or supply chain management.
  • Experience supporting global operational footprint.
  • Experience leading a team with an emphasis on development/coaching.
  • MS Office proficiency, SAP Super User experience is preferred.
  • Excellent performance management skills.
  • Excellent leadership skills, great attention to detail, and goal-oriented.
  • Ability to manage and supervise complex, multi-disciplinary projects.

Nice To Haves

  • Continuous Improvement certification (Lean, six-sigma, and/or TPM) preferred.
  • SAP Super User experience is preferred.
