Job Summary: The Materials Control Manager manages the receipt, storage, and usage of materials to ensure uninterrupted flow of materials in the production pipeline. The Manager, Materials Control, is responsible for ensuring that materials inventory levels are adequate to meet production needs at the assigned location. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: Collaborates with the Senior Manager, Inventory Control and other managers and departments to plan and coordinate the receipt, inspection, storage, and usage of materials. Closely monitors and controls inventory levels and works with the Supervisor, Warehouse to proactively acquire or move materials to meet production needs. Provides input on the evaluation and improvement of materials management processes and policies. Leads, trains, and coaches Supervisors, Materials Control and ensures the Supervisor is hiring, training, and coaching team members for assigned location. Serves as a model for team members and serves as a point of escalation for complex problems and employee situations. Ensures safe and efficient warehouse operations at all locations.
