Learn more about BNSF and our Benefits BNSF’s Marketing team serves as a primary contact for all BNSF customers, working to make the shipping experience as easy and seamless as possible. From onboarding new customers to handling rate and service requests to answering billing questions, the Marketing team is focused on building strong customer relationships and ensuring effective communication throughout the shipping process. The team is organized into several critical business units to cater to diverse customer needs and industry demands: Agriculture and Energy, Consumer Products, and Industrial products, alongside specialized units for Customer Support, Forecasting, and Planning. Each of these units plays a role in tailoring our marketing strategies and services to meet the unique requirements of our wide-ranging customer base, ensuring a comprehensive and responsive approach to customer service and engagement. This is a full-time position located in Fort Worth, TX. For certain positions, including this one, employees can work one day per week remotely. Our leaders also foster a culture where work life balance, which requires flexibility for when life happens, is important and respected. Travel is expected 10-20%. Requirements

  • Able to work now and in the future without BNSF’s assistance (whether monetary, through sponsorship, or otherwise) in obtaining, maintaining, or extending employment authorization (including H-1B, STEM OPT/CPT, or TN nonimmigrant status).
  • Bachelor’s degree with a preference in Business, Marketing (B2B), Economics, Supply Chain, or Industrial Engineering.
  • Minimum of 4 years of professional work experience in sales/marketing, rail operations, or a related industry.
  • Possess excellent interpersonal and analytical skills, as well as effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong ability to quantitatively and objectively analyze business problems and large data sets.
  • Exceptional ability to communicate clearly with internal and external customers.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree.
  • Possess working knowledge of BNSF’s and the railroad industry’s operational, business, and interline system environment.
  • Able to analyze market supply and demand dynamics to develop effective pricing strategy and structure.
  • Able to evaluate complex market and competitive data to drive actionable projects and decisions.
  • Able to effectively listen and understand market and customer needs and provide creative solutions to drive profitable growth.
  • Able to independently recognize business opportunities and quickly turn those opportunities into opportunities for BNSF.
  • Experience with Microsoft Suite, TSS, GQL, Tableau, RAPID and Smart.

Responsibilities

  • Manage business development of the wholesale domestic container program.
  • Oversee market management of wholesale intermodal to include program P&L, cross-functional support with operations, pricing, and equipment management.
  • Lead cross-functional demand planning and fleet optimization projects across commercial, finance, and operational teams.
  • Manage negotiations of service contracts with key vendors to maximize value for BNSF.
  • Develop, manage and grow the wholesale product offerings for BNSF domestic intermodal market.
  • Create strategies to maximize contribution and network efficiency.
  • Lead educational efforts across the organization around best practices and industry norms for a competitive wholesale product offering.
