About The Position

In this role, you will lead regional growth initiatives that accelerate the adoption of sustainable and high-performance building practices across priority markets. Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional experience in business development, market development, sales, commercial real estate, sustainability, or related fields.
  • Proven success in originating new business and managing complex stakeholder relationships, ideally in sustainability-driven or mission-led environments.
  • Experience planning and executing in-person, virtual, and hybrid events.
  • Strong ability to engage with diverse internal teams and external partners, including industry and community leaders.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Salesforce, Smartsheet, Cvent, Power BI, and Canva.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently while thriving in collaborative environments.

Nice To Haves

  • LEED Green Associate or LEED AP certification preferred, or willingness to obtain within 12 months.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute regional go-to-market strategies aligned with national growth and revenue targets across membership, sponsorship, certifications, and project registrations.
  • Build, manage, and grow a strong business development pipeline through outreach, campaigns, partnerships, and targeted sector engagement.
  • Own the full sales cycle for sponsorship opportunities, from prospecting and proposal development to negotiation and closing.
  • Plan and lead market engagement initiatives, including events, campaigns, and partner activations, to drive adoption and brand visibility.
  • Cultivate and manage strategic relationships with industry partners, associations, and key stakeholders to expand reach and market influence.
  • Represent the organization at industry events, providing thought leadership and market advocacy.
  • Develop and manage strategic accounts to ensure sustained engagement and long-term growth opportunities.
  • Contribute to storytelling and content creation to highlight local leadership, achievements, and sustainability milestones.
  • Track, analyze, and report performance metrics related to pipeline health, revenue, partnerships, and campaign effectiveness.
  • Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and policy developments to inform strategy and continuous improvement.
