About The Position

The Manager of Manufacturing is responsible for overseeing front line supervisors in the production of high-quality aircraft parts and assemblies, as well as the installation and testing of aircraft systems and equipment. This role requires meeting or exceeding production and delivery schedules while maximizing efficiency. The manager leads multi-disciplinary teams to ensure compliance with quality systems and process specifications, monitors employee performance, and optimizes resources to achieve company goals.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required; Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum of five (5) years management experience in operations or related discipline.
• Thorough knowledge of aircraft assembly and/or mechanics.
• Working knowledge of Windows-based computers and programs.
• Ability to perform basic mathematics.
• Ability to work scheduled shifts, including overtime and weekends.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes, hand tools, power tools, and PPE.
• Ability to demonstrate leadership skills and effective communication.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in managing teams of 75-400 members.
• Experience in continuous improvement methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Manage front line supervisors in the production of aircraft parts and assemblies.
• Ensure compliance with Piper QAM/QIM and FAA requirements.
• Act as the primary point of contact for new programs and initiatives.
• Interface with all departments regarding parts, materials, and quality issues.
• Drive continuous process improvement efforts.
• Supervise troubleshooting and re-work efforts to maintain quality standards.
• Promote safety programs and ensure proper use of safety equipment.
• Provide comprehensive training and cross-training to employees.
• Enforce compliance with personnel policies and direct hiring efforts.
• Champion continuous improvement efforts to enhance schedule delivery performance.
