About The Position

The Manager, Maintenance is responsible for overseeing daily operations within the facilities maintenance department. This role ensures the integrity of production equipment and building infrastructure, enabling high-level operational performance and adherence to service level agreements (SLAs).

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred, with 8 years of relevant experience.
In lieu of degree, high school diploma or GED with 10 years of relevant experience.
Department-level span of control required.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in building and equipment maintenance.
Minimum of 3 years’ supervisory experience required.
Ability to follow policies and procedures.
Ability to read, write, and interpret information.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
Ability to sit, walk, or stand for the duration of the shift.
Must possess visual acuity to perform essential job functions.
Ability to conduct physical tasks with a full range of motion throughout the warehouse environment.
Ability to lift/carry items up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of plumbing, forklift repair, electrical systems, and related trades strongly preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong problem-solving, organizational, and team collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

Manage at least two full-time direct reports, including hiring, coaching, skills development, recognition, and performance management.
Plan, organize, staff, and direct daily departmental operations; develop and implement policies and programs.
Develop and manage departmental budget; ensure compliance and address variances.
Provide expertise in one or more of the following areas: Construction, Electrical, Mechanical, Networking, HVAC, Facility Maintenance, Engineering Installation, Software and PLC controls, Core Audit.
Oversee prioritization of work orders and assess impact on overall operations.
Utilize software and resources to ensure efficient workflow and task management.
Ensure safety procedures are followed to maintain a safe work environment.
Collaborate with Maintenance Technicians to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
Partner with senior managers to recommend and implement optimal solutions.
Assist in training and cross-training of maintenance team members in various trades.
Support engineers with facility layout and production processes focused on safety, quality, productivity, cost savings, and waste reduction.
Quote and lead contractor efforts for equipment installation or repair.
Contribute to the design and support of engineering projects.
