About The Position

The Manager, Maintenance is responsible for overseeing daily operations within the facilities maintenance department. This role ensures the integrity of production equipment and building infrastructure, enabling high-level operational performance and adherence to service level agreements (SLAs).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred, with 8 years of relevant experience.
  • In lieu of degree, high school diploma or GED with 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Department-level span of control required.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in building and equipment maintenance.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ supervisory experience required.
  • Ability to follow policies and procedures.
  • Ability to read, write, and interpret information.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
  • Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
  • Ability to sit, walk, or stand for the duration of the shift.
  • Must possess visual acuity to perform essential job functions.
  • Ability to conduct physical tasks with a full range of motion throughout the warehouse environment.
  • Ability to lift/carry items up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of plumbing, forklift repair, electrical systems, and related trades strongly preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and team collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Manage at least two full-time direct reports, including hiring, coaching, skills development, recognition, and performance management.
  • Plan, organize, staff, and direct daily departmental operations; develop and implement policies and programs.
  • Develop and manage departmental budget; ensure compliance and address variances.
  • Provide expertise in one or more of the following areas: Construction, Electrical, Mechanical, Networking, HVAC, Facility Maintenance, Engineering Installation, Software and PLC controls, Core Audit.
  • Oversee prioritization of work orders and assess impact on overall operations.
  • Utilize software and resources to ensure efficient workflow and task management.
  • Ensure safety procedures are followed to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Collaborate with Maintenance Technicians to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Partner with senior managers to recommend and implement optimal solutions.
  • Assist in training and cross-training of maintenance team members in various trades.
  • Support engineers with facility layout and production processes focused on safety, quality, productivity, cost savings, and waste reduction.
  • Quote and lead contractor efforts for equipment installation or repair.
  • Contribute to the design and support of engineering projects.
