Manager-Maintenance Power Generation

TallgrassCheyenne, WY

About The Position

The Maintenance Manager is responsible for leading all maintenance activities at the Tallgrass Cheyenne Energy Center-an off-grid, large-scale AI-dedicated critical power, multi‑unit generation campus that is planned to produce approximately 2.5 GW of initial capacity with expansion capability up to 10 GW from a fleet of simple‑cycle gas turbines and combined‑cycle gas turbine (CCGT) technologies. This role ensures safe, reliable, and cost‑effective maintenance across mechanical, electrical, and I&C disciplines while driving asset integrity, availability, and long-term performance. The Maintenance Manager provides strategic oversight of preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs, including scheduled and forced outages, contractor performance, and Long‑Term Service Agreement (LTSA) execution. This Maintenance Manger integrates maintenance strategy with work management processes to ensure high‑quality planning, disciplined execution, and effective coordination with Operations, Planning and Scheduling, Procurement, Reliability Engineering, Supply Chain, EHS, and the O&M Contractor in support of Tallgrass Energy’s safety, regulatory, environmental, and mission‑critical data center commercial objectives. The Maintenance Manager establishes and sustains Human Performance (HP) and Tallgrass culture expectations across all maintenance disciplines. The Maintenance Manager ensures HP principles and Tallgrass values are embedded into maintenance strategy, outage execution, contractor management, and work execution processes. The Maintenance Manager holds supervisors and leaders accountable for consistent application of HP tools and Tallgrass values, effective pre‑job briefs, high‑quality post‑job reviews, and learning‑focused event investigations that address planning, execution, procedural, and organizational contributors. The Maintenance Manager is accountable for maintenance execution quality and elimination of repeat work, owning the integration of planning quality and execution standards. Performance is measured through key indicators including maintenance rework rate, first‑pass yield, repeat failure rate, schedule adherence, and outage quality metrics . KPI trends and Human Performance insights are used to drive continuous improvement in planning effectiveness, supervision, contractor performance, workforce safety, and overall plant reliability. The Maintenance Manager provides strategic oversight of preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs, scheduled and forced outages, contractor performance, and Long-Term Service Agreement (LTSA) oversight. The Maintenance Manager works closely with Operations, Planning, Scheduling, Procurement, Reliability Engineering, Supply Chain, EHS, and the O&M Contractor to meet Tallgrass Energy’s safety, regulatory, environmental, and mission critical data center commercial objectives.
