About The Position

This facility is part of our Prepared Foods business unit. The Maintenance Manager I is responsible for supervising the maintenance of production equipment buildings and utilities including ammonia compressors offal and Wastewater Department.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience: 6 plus years of maintenance experience required. Manufacturing maintenance environment preferred.
  • Computer Skills: Standard computer skills.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; some public speaking skills.
  • Special Skills: Industrial Maintenance in fields such as electrical refrigeration hydraulics or mechanical.
  • Supervisory: Responsible for supervising a group of personnel who perform similar or interrelated tasks.
  • Travel: 1-5 domestic trips per year.
  • Must reside in the United States to be considered.
  • Sponsorship is not available for this role.
  • Internal Qualifications: No more than 4 attendance points for locations on an 8-point policy OR no more than 6 attendance points for locations on a 14 point policy
  • No written warning in the past six (6) months
  • No suspension on record for the last 12 months

Responsibilities

  • Plant Improvement and Expansion: Assist in planning and executing plant improvements and expansions.
  • Training and Development: Ensure all maintenance personnel are proficient in operating equipment and possess necessary maintenance skills. Implement training programs to keep staff updated on operating equipment and maintenance practices.
  • Safety and Compliance: Establish and maintain a safe workplace environment, complying with all safety and regulatory standards. Ensure compliance with safety, health, OSHA, PSM, and environmental regulations at local, state, and federal levels. Communicate and enforce safety programs effectively.
  • Equipment Monitoring and Maintenance: Continuously monitor plant equipment and systems to minimize unplanned downtime and promptly address issues. Maintain refrigeration and wastewater systems to meet regulatory guidelines.
  • Maintenance Management System: Establish and manage a computerized maintenance management system (SAP) for tracking work orders and maintaining an adequate inventory of replacement parts.
  • Data Analysis and Recommendations: Analyze maintenance data to identify areas for improvement in plant operations and maintenance processes. Make recommendations for enhancing plant operations based on data analysis.
  • Personnel Management: Ensure maintenance personnel are properly trained, equipped, and motivated to carry out maintenance programs efficiently and safely. Implement the Coastal Training system for necessary skillsets and provide required resources.
  • Budget Administration: Administer the maintenance budget and ensure financial goals are achieved. Monitor and administer the purchasing and use of parts, equipment, materials, and supplies in the maintenance department.
  • Performance Tracking: Maintain a tracking system to analyze key maintenance parameters such as asset utilization, maintenance costs, and PM compliance.
