About The Position

The Manager - Maintenance I position at Volvo Group in Hagerstown, MD, is a leadership role responsible for overseeing the maintenance function within the plant. Requirements

• Associate's degree in a relevant field and five years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment, or seven years of combined education and supervisory experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong leadership skills with a goal-oriented approach to deliver results.
• Excellent communication skills to work with cross-functional teams and build trusting relationships.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in automated driving, electromobility, or connected vehicles.
• Knowledge of the Volvo Production System and leadership competencies.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Maintenance organization against set safety, quality, delivery, and financial targets by leading and coaching the maintenance team.
• Continue the implementation of the Volvo Production System (VPS) by standardizing ways of working and developing the organization.
• Ensure full accountability and ownership of the team's development, UAW relations, project follow-up, and policy deployment from plant to operator level.
