Manager, Maintenance and Repair
About The Position
As part of the Corporate M&R Team, responsible for overseeing, reviewing, and organizing data pertaining to chassis maintenance and repair (M&R) processes, workflows, communications, data, analysis, metrics and reports. Support both field and HQ M&R teams with timely data analysis of maintenance and repair parameters, organize workflows to maximize efficiency, and develop, recommend and implement M&R responses to optimize outcomes in terms of cost and service. Develop and maintain outstanding customer and vendor relationships. Support other functional areas including fleet operations, business intelligence, IT, finance, and commercial.
Requirements
- Minimum Education / Qualifications - Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Minimum Years of Relevant Experience - 2-5 years of working experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain
- Office 365 suite – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access, SharePoint
- Microsoft Excel – ability to create worksheets, charts/graphs, data tables, pivot tables
- PowerPoint – ability to create PowerPoint slides, insert graphics/images/shapes, animate slides
- Self-driven, a team player and meticulous
- Self-motivated, takes initiative
- Excellent negotiation, problem solving, and analytical skills
- Rapidly adapt and respond to changes in environment and priorities
- Ability to elicit cooperation from senior management and other departments
Nice To Haves
- Prior working experience in Maintenance and Repair
- Prior working experience in Intermodal/Shipping domain
Responsibilities
- Oversee Flexi-Van Over The Road (OTR) responses working with various teams to minimize impacts on customers
- Gather, organize, record, analyze maintenance and repair data for chassis repairs performing root cause analysis to improve quality of repairs
- Identify and recommend action plans to address M&R issues
- Implement actions plans
- Monitor execution of action plans including necessary intervention as needed to ensure success
- Develop and maintain KPIs and trend performance data
- Assist with managing and collecting M&R information to help Flexi-Van implement efficient M&R processes
- Monitor regulatory inspections nationwide
- Develop and maintain compliance data and reporting
- Manage pending expiration process to avoid units on the street with expired regulatory inspections
- Support operations by monitoring performance of various M&R vendors and part suppliers
- Assist with audits of product quality, billing accuracy, and other KPI related items
