Manager, Machine Learning

The position involves managing the design, development, and maintenance of scalable software solutions utilizing statistical, artificial intelligence (AI), and machine-learning (ML) modeling approaches. This role requires performing research and testing to develop machine learning algorithms and predictive models, utilizing big data computation and storage tools to create prototypes and datasets, and conducting model training and evaluation. In this position, you will integrate, test, tune, and monitor solutions while leading a team of machine learning engineers. You will be responsible for leading the design, development, and maintenance of predictive analytics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence solutions, making specific determinations about overall performance, reliability, and scalability. Collaboration with multiple partner teams such as Business, Technology, Product Management, Legal, Compliance, Strategy, and Business Management is essential to develop use cases and deploy solutions into production. You will also communicate advanced ML/AI concepts to senior leadership to facilitate decision-making and support the maintenance of existing models while meeting service levels. The role requires working cross-functionally with product managers, data scientists, and engineers to understand, implement, refine, and design machine learning and other algorithms. You will maintain knowledge of new learning approaches, technology, and tools through continuous research to ensure the currency of solutions. Driving innovative ideas and acting as a thought leader in identifying and selecting use cases for the applicability of machine learning, appropriate modeling techniques, and technologies will be part of your responsibilities. Additionally, you will manage the hiring and training of new and existing staff, conduct performance reviews, and provide leadership, technical guidance, and coaching. You will also be responsible for developing and communicating organizational objectives, inspiring and motivating team members to achieve results, and establishing and maintaining Agile Scrum ceremonies and methodologies on the team. This position may also involve performing other duties as assigned and complying with all policies and standards.
