About The Position

As a key member of the Accounting team, you will be part of AgriBank's mission to support the people who feed the world. The Manager, Loan Accounting leads the loan accounting team, which performs the functions of wholesale loan accounting, retail loan accounting and reconciliations. This position also supports other activities of the Accounting and Planning team, such as accounts payable, fixed assets, general ledger account reconciliations, accounting for investment securities, prepaid and accrual accounting.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field
5 years of public accounting experience, or 9 years' of related experience
Advanced knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
Advanced knowledge of accounting including general ledger entries, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets
Advanced knowledge of loan accounting, cash operations, general ledger practices
Advanced knowledge of internal controls
Intermediate knowledge of financial reporting standards and processes
Intermediate knowledge of Farm Credit Administration reporting regulations and requirements
Intermediate knowledge of project coordination principles and practices
Advanced proficiency in office software Microsoft Office Suite
Advanced proficiency in general ledger/accounts payable/loan accounting systems
Advanced proficiency in reconciliation systems
Advanced proficiency in enterprise performance management (e.g., EPM)
Advanced proficiency in expense/invoice management systems
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times

Nice To Haves

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred
Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job
