About The Position

The Footwear Product Testing Manager at Nike will oversee the Lifestyle Footwear Product Testing team, ensuring that products meet high performance and fit standards. This role combines managerial and analytical responsibilities, focusing on planning tests, recruiting athletes, analyzing data, and mentoring team members. The manager will also foster a diverse and inclusive team culture while driving the testing strategy for Lifestyle footwear in New York.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, experience, or training.
• Minimum of 6 years of relevant work experience in footwear, product testing, or related fields.
• Strong understanding of footwear components, materials, and production processes.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience working with athletes, coaches, and equipment managers.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with statistical analysis procedures.
• Demonstrated leadership experience.
• Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 20 pounds.
• Must have a functioning and insured car capable of carrying up to 30 pairs of shoes.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in product development, marketing, or retail industries.
• Familiarity with spreadsheet databases and statistical analysis procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead the testing strategy for Lifestyle Footwear in New York.
• Plan and execute footwear testing, including recruiting and managing athlete testers.
• Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to provide insights for product creation.
• Produce written reports and deliver presentations to the product creation team.
• Mentor and develop direct reports to support their career and organizational goals.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices in testing.
• Conduct testing both on and off the NYHQ campus, often outside traditional working hours.
