About The Position

The Manager, Legal will serve as a key legal partner supporting a wide range of corporate, commercial, and operational matters across the Fanatics Collectibles business. This role is designed as a generalist position, providing day-to-day legal guidance to cross-functional teams while adapting to evolving business priorities and organizational needs. The successful candidate will advise on diverse legal issues impacting the business, including commercial contracting, strategic partnerships, licensing matters, and certain athlete and talent agreements. In addition to drafting and negotiating agreements, this role will support issue-spotting, risk assessment, contract interpretation, and practical problem-solving across ongoing business operations. This position requires a flexible, solutions-oriented attorney who can operate independently, collaborate effectively within a lean legal team, and step into a variety of matters as needed. The role offers broad exposure to senior leadership and the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to a dynamic and growing global business.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of relevant legal experience, preferably a combination of law firm and/or in-house experience with exposure to commercial and general corporate matters.
  • Experience advising business stakeholders on a broad range of legal issues, including commercial contracting, risk assessment, and operational matters.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously in a fast-paced environment and provide practical, solutions-oriented advice.
  • Strong drafting and negotiation skills across a variety of commercial agreements; experience with licensing, marketing, vendor, or partnership agreements preferred.
  • Sound business judgment, strong organizational skills, and the ability to operate independently within a lean legal team.
  • Juris Doctorate from an ABA-accredited law school or international equivalent.
  • Member in good standing of at least one US State Bar.
  • Be a doer whose ready, willing and able to roll up your sleeves, jump in and get things done.
  • Be a self-starter with a strong work ethic, capable of taking ownership of projects/matters.

Responsibilities

  • Provide legal support across a broad range of commercial, corporate, and operational matters impacting the Fanatics Collectibles business.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of agreements, including commercial contracts, licensing arrangements, vendor and services agreements, marketing partnerships, and certain athlete and talent agreements.
  • Advise cross-functional stakeholders on legal risk, contract interpretation, business structuring, and practical issue resolution in connection with day-to-day operations and strategic initiatives.
  • Partner with members of the Legal team to support athlete and talent relationships, commercial transactions, and other business priorities, as appropriate.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of policies, processes, and best practices to support legal operations and risk management across the organization.
  • Assist with special projects, escalated matters, and evolving business initiatives as the company continues to grow.
