Manager, Learning & Development

About the position

As the Manager of Learning & Development (L&D), you will play a critical role in shaping the organization's learning culture and driving professional growth at all levels. This role requires a strategic and hands-on leader who can design, implement, and manage impactful learning programs that enhance employee skills, leadership capabilities, and overall business performance. The ideal candidate is passionate about employee growth, skilled in modern learning methodologies, and thrives in a fast-paced, people-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of training programs, leadership development, and skills-building initiatives to support workforce capability.
• Continuously assess learning needs and adapt programs to meet evolving business and employee development requirements.
• Leverage technology, e-learning, and blended learning solutions to enhance training effectiveness.
• Lead, coach, and mentor an L&D team, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
• Partner with Operations, HR, department heads, and senior leaders to align training initiatives with talent development and organizational goals.
• Partner with Executive Leadership and department heads to provide materials support, such as presentations and graphic design needs.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure seamless integration of learning solutions within the employee experience.
• Develop instructor guides, participant materials, presentation assets, and other required course materials.
• Use data analytics to measure learning impact, identify trends, and optimize programs for better outcomes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
• 4-5+ years of experience in Learning & Development, including leadership or management experience. Restaurant experience preferred.
• Strong expertise in instructional design, learning principles, and training delivery.
• Manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously across extended periods of time.
• Effective at networking and building working relationships.
• Remains current with and have a thorough understanding of the latest industry technology tools and trends in education and instructional media.
• Strong instructional design, creative thinking, technical writing, and oral communication skills.
• Proficient with common industry development tools and software applications (MS Office, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Captivate, Illustrator, InDesign etc.).
• Experience with/or interest in emerging learning tools and applications (eLearning, gamification, virtual environments, etc.).
