As Manager, Training Execution and Effectiveness, you will lead both the strategic and operational management of the Training Delivery team. You will be responsible for designing and realizing the operational excellence model for the training delivery team and for driving the delivery and continuous improvement of training programs across our Distribution Centers and Branch Network. You will build strong business partnerships, actively consult with stakeholders such as DC, Branch, or Operation Support Directors, and champion effective learning delivery and continuous improvement. The position can be located hybrid at our Lake Forest, IL or downtown Chicago office.

  • Lead the Operations Support Training Delivery team (up to 4 direct reports), overseeing facilitators, learning management system (LMS), and data analysts to deploy learning programs supporting Supply Chain Learning & Development.
  • Oversee the execution and measurement of organization-wide training programs, including recurring curriculum and one-off training initiatives to support organizational changes, ensuring they are effective and consistent across the organization.
  • Act as a trusted consultant and partner with internal and external training organizations to benchmark and share best practices, aiming to impact network metrics by delivering core onboarding and process training programs to improve team member quality and productivity.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and delivery methods through assessments, feedback, and performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with department heads and subject matter experts to ensure training materials are up-to-date and relevant. Partner closely with leaders in training design, communications, and analytics to define needs and validate outcomes.
  • Identify and address gaps in training content and delivery methods.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on training effectiveness to senior management.
  • Partner with stakeholders to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Bachelors degree in organizational development, training and development, human resources management, business administration, or operations management or similar experience.
  • Learning & Development experience in an operations environment with a diverse employee population of both non-exempt and exempt team members.
  • 5+ years experience being a strategic stakeholder and team leader, ideally within an industrial supply or similar industry.
  • Strong leadership, project, and process management skills.
  • Analytical skills to assess training needs, measure training effectiveness and influence change.
  • Travel requirements: up to 25%.
