About The Position
RESPONSIBLE FOR: Manager, Laboratory
Requirements
- Bachelor?s Degree from a recognized college or university in Medical Technology or a closely related field is required.
- Five (5) years of clinical experience, including at least two (2) years with supervisory responsibilities, is required, preferably in an acute care hospital setting.
- Demonstrated clinical competency in the specialty area applying for.
- Management of Clinical Laboratory only: Certification in medical technology; certification as a medical technologist or medical laboratory scientist by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP), AMT (American Medical Technologists) or AAB (American Association of Bioanalysts) required. AAB provisional certification not accepted.
- Management of Anatomic Pathology (Cytology/Histology): Certification in histology; certification as a Histotechnologist HTL, Histotechnician HT and/or Cytologist CT by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) required.
Nice To Haves
- A Master of Business Administration or Health Administration is preferred.
