Requirements

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Medical Technology.
• MT (ASCP) registry certification.
• Minimum of three (3) years acute care generalist experience.
• Two (2) years management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director to plan, direct, implement and improve services provided by the Laboratory.
• Coordinate Laboratory functions with medical direction from the Medical Director.
• Assume responsibility for patient specimen testing, quality control, quality improvement and equipment maintenance.
• Work with the Director to ensure the availability of competent staff to conduct the services of the department.
• Provide for the ongoing education of staff and promote teamwork concepts within staff.
• Respond to physicians and other health care providers in a professional manner.
• Complete age specific training and competency assessments.
