About The Position

The Manager of Laboratory Operations works with other members of the laboratory staff and other St. Luke#s departments as part of a multidisciplinary team. Identifies and coordinates resources required to coordinate laboratory services throughout the St. Luke#s system and ensure the quality of laboratory services.

Requirements

Bachelors Degree in Clinical Laboratory Science or Bachelors degree in related science field.
Minimum of four (4) years experience in a Clinical Laboratory.
ASCP certification as Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS).
Ability to work with a wide variety of individuals with different training and educational backgrounds
Ability to exercise good judgment
Ability to maintain excellent laboratory standards while considering practical requirements in a particular situation
Ability to effectively represent St. Luke#s Laboratory Services in a variety of settings and to a wide variety of decision makers.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents.
Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquires or complaints.
Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, top management, public groups, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to comprehend and apply advanced mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plan and solid geometry and trigonometry.
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, rations and proportions to practical situations.
Ability to define and solve problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions and deal with a variety of concrete and abstract variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
