The Manager for Laboratory Services and Safety position will supervise and organize the chemical and physical operations of the Chemistry and Physical Sciences Laboratories by providing solutions, preparations, and directing student technicians. The Manager will also be responsible for evening lab activities and or overseeing a part-time evening lab coordinator when that position is reinstated. The manager's responsibility includes maintenance and calibration of equipment, monitoring and procurement of inventory levels, and maintaining the standard operating procedure (SOP) for the use of equipment and instruments. The Manager will also serve as the designated Laboratory Chemical Hygiene Officer, Radiation Officer, and Budget Manager for the Chemistry department. They are responsible for lab operations, environmental/health & safety programs, and financial operations.
