About The Position

The Stewards Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire operation of the stewarding positions. They will ensure the highest quality of cleanliness and organization is maintained in all food service areas.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Two related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in a large hotel, restaurant or casino required.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate in English to guests and other employees.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondences and procedural manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and employees.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office products suite.

Responsibilities

  • Directly manages the stewarding staff, as well as training, scheduling and assigning of daily duties.
  • Ensures the highest quality of cleanliness and organization in all food service outlets and areas, and ensures that all service equipment is kept clean.
  • Monitoring and controlling labor costs, equipment and supply requisition cost.
  • Maintains relationships with outside vendors regarding maintenance and renovations.
  • Processes requests from the main kitchen, Catering/Banquet department and all other outlets.
  • Oversees the replacement of any damaged or malfunctioning equipment.
  • Ensures a safe working environment in accordance with OSHA requirements.
  • Creates weekly schedules of the stewarding staff to ensure optimum service in all Food & Beverage outlets.
  • Leads the property's recycling program in regards to food and material waste.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Provides Family Style Service to all Guests and Team Members.
