About The Position

The Manager of Kinetic Construction will oversee engineering and construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. This role involves managing teams, conducting site visits, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards while promoting innovative solutions within the organization.

Requirements

  • College degree and 5-7 years of experience in Engineering and Construction.
  • 2 years of supervisory experience within Engineering and Construction.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to pass DOT certification pre-hire.
  • Ability to obtain a CDL license post-hire.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple construction/engineering jobs simultaneously.
  • Authentic and collaborative communication skills.
  • Knowledgeable of engineering and construction practices and vendor equipment.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to coordinate multiple projects while maintaining budgetary emphasis.
  • Familiarity with PC and software including CAD and Microsoft.
  • OSHA Training and NEC Training.
  • Certifications within the Telecom Industry.
  • Knowledgeable in quality construction practices.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct weekly meetings with staff, providing general direction and accountability.
  • Ensure availability of resources with proper expertise to support engineering and construction project execution.
  • Manage call-out teams and handle after-hours issues, including on holidays, weekends, emergencies, and escalations.
  • Visit construction job sites to validate workmanship and ensure job requests are within budget.
  • Attend management calls and meetings as requested.
  • Participate in continuous safety training and stay updated on emerging technologies.
  • Analyze data and perform problem-solving requiring evaluation of various factors.
  • Plan and analyze recommendations for new OSP construction, including fiber to the premises (FTTP).
  • Oversee wireline engineering and construction projects to ensure completion within budget.
  • Work with the materials coordinator to verify materials for the job.
  • Take corrective action with employees as necessary.
  • Promote a culture of innovative solutions that embody accountability and efficiency.
  • Report project status and performance data to management.
