About The Position

The IT Security Manager is responsible for overseeing the build and support of both technology and programs to secure Casey's business objectives. The role leads a team of Engineers and Analysts that values automation, reusability, scalability and security using agile/iterative development frameworks and industry-best practices that meet the business need.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity or related discipline; equivalent work-related experience.
  • At least seven (7) years of progressive experience leading a cybersecurity operations team (e.g., security operations center (SOC), security incident response, cyber intelligence, threat mitigation, data security) in a mid-to-large enterprise environment.
  • Demonstrated experience with security operations tools such as SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS, vulnerability management, data loss prevention, etc.
  • Proven track record in regulatory compliance [esp. Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) and Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX).
  • Experience developing, enforcing, and communicating cybersecurity policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Expertise in network and system security and incident, access, and risk management practices.
  • Proven ability to lead and coordinate major cyber incident remediation activities and investigations/after-action reporting.
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills in high-pressure environments.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written, and presentation skills; able to work effectively with senior management and cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to manage budgets and allocate resources for cyber operations.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with evolving threats, technologies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong organizational and process improvement skills, with a focus on increasing operational efficiency and delivery velocity.
  • Must be available for on-call rotation and major incident response outside standard business hours.
  • Occasional travel for training, conferences, or incident response may be required

  • Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, GIAC, Security+, CEH, or cloud security certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a resilient and high-performing security team. Responsible for hiring, training, salary administration, performance management, coaching and corrective actions for direct reports. Responsible for collaborating with team members on career development and goal setting. Acts as a champion of a committed and empowering culture, working with direct reports and team members on modeling Casey's values.
  • Partner cross-functionally with IT, engineering, and business units to align security initiatives with enterprise priorities.
  • Identify and implement technical solutions in collaboration with Product Management and business stakeholders, anticipating evolving organizational needs.
  • Work with Enterprise and Solution Architects to ensure technical solutions meet business requirements and align with Casey's architecture.
  • Lead efforts to refactor and upgrade systems for optimal performance.
  • Ensure reliable and responsive team support in coordination with IT Operations.
  • Define and align team goals and timelines with organizational objectives, prioritizing work with Program Management and business partners.
  • Monitor agile delivery performance and partner with agile coaches to enhance processes and increase velocity.
  • Stay current on IT trends, security controls, and standards (e.g. National Institute of Standard and Technology's Cyber Security Framework,), embedding them into team practices alongside Architecture. Promote continuous learning and self-development.
