About The Position

This position is responsible for the oversight and development of a Microservices Framework and the delivery of Data Integration processes and capabilities in the organization. This includes modern APIs, real-time data streaming, and batch Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) packages, application Integration (ESB), EDI and the corresponding support of these processes.

Requirements

  • 8 or more years of equivalent work experience with data integration solutions.
  • Hands-on experience delivering API or Microservice applications in an open-source environment.
  • Experience delivering cloud-based solutions in either Azure (preferred) or AWS.
  • Understanding of ETL applications using commercial ETL tools such as Talend, Informatica or Data Stage.
  • Knowledge of event/messaging frameworks (e.g. Rabbit MQ, JMS, Kafka) and standard messaging/integration design patterns.
  • Experience with enterprise caliber database technologies such as Oracle.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Systems Design, Computer Science, or related field.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Java, Containers, ETCL and/or ESB technologies such as Informatica, TIBCO, Talend, SAP, IBM, WSO2 or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the development and deployment of ETL, Application Integration, Microservices Framework code and contribute to the overall architecture of the Data Integration & Application Development Landscape.
  • Work with teams to design, develop, and implement new interfaces between various Tractor Supply systems.
  • Maintain and improve existing interfaces or capabilities.
  • Allocate resources and supervise direct reports.
  • Hire, develop, and motivate assigned staff.
  • Review and analyze existing applications and system effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Develop strategies to improve or leverage systems.
  • Research and make recommendations on software products and services in support or procurement and development efforts.
  • Assess and cultivate long-term strategic goals for area of responsibility in conjunction with department managers, clients, and other key stakeholders.
  • Work directly with Enterprise architecture team to develop and manage all data quality and transformation standards.
  • Accountable for microservice tools development and maturation.
