About The Position

This role is on a hybrid schedule with a few days in our Charlotte or Detroit office with some remote days. As a Manager on the IT/Cyber Risk team, the qualified candidate is responsible for managing asset class testing engagements to ensure key IT/IS controls are designed appropriately and working effectively to mitigate risks. This individual will manage the planning, scheduling, and field supervision for testing engagements, effectively leading the testing team to successful project completion. The successful candidate will have experience in IT Audit, IT Risk Management, or Information Security. The position will require the ability to effectively consult on IT/Information Security risks and issues and manage multiple priorities efficiently while demonstrating excellent time management skills.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in IT Audit, IT Risk Management, or Information Security required.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • One of the following appropriate professional affiliations/certifications (CISA, CISSP, CRISC, or CISM) required.
  • Ability to apply risk concepts to various infrastructure technology types, to determine effective testing approaches.
  • Ability to provide advice/direction in primary areas of expertise
  • Ability to multi-task and work well in a changing environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in public accounting and the banking industry, preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience in performing assessments aligned with Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council (FFIEC) guidance and information security-related standards or guidance such as CIS, NIST, ISO2700x, and PCI-DSS preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), and other industry tools such as Archer GRC, PowerBI, Prisma, and ServiceNow preferred .
  • Knowledge of IT infrastructure and security, specifically at the Network, Server, Database, and Cloud technology environments.
  • Strong leadership and managerial skills (detail-oriented, deadline driven, self-directed, organized, etc.) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the overall asset class testing program including strategic planning, coordination of testing activities across asset types, and comprehensive reporting of testing results to stakeholders.
  • Manage and mentor asset class testing analysts by providing guidance, oversight, and feedback throughout the testing engagements.
  • Assist with development of asset class testing work plans/test procedures.
  • Ensure workpapers prepared as part of asset class testing include sufficient evidence to support testing conclusions and meet internal standard/policy requirements.
  • Serve as key contact with management, explaining testing process/scope, keeping management apprised of testing progress and issues, and effectively delivering test results to all levels of management.
  • Assess testing findings with an appropriate degree of professional skepticism, seeking to fully understand the risks to the company.
  • Validate that asset class issues have been properly remediated through issue validation process.
  • Build collaborative and trusting relationships with business partners, management, and other cross functional stakeholders.
  • Lead or participate in continuous monitoring.
