This is an exempt Manager role in IS Networking Services in La Jolla. The hours are Monday - Friday with a flexible start time. There is rotating call amongst the leadership team. It is a salaried position eligible for the Management Incentive Compensation Plan (MICP) at the Manager level. The Manager, Network Services provides management leadership and oversight for the network services team. This role implements regulatory compliance, timely project delivery, network readiness, reliability, and consistent service quality and delivery of daily operational needs. As the manager of the Network Services team, this role implements the strategies defined by leadership and aims to achieve the high-performance standards that support patient care and service excellence. The manager oversees change initiatives, helps the network team foster innovation, and builds enthusiasm among staff for continuous improvement. Scripps Health is seeking a manger with strong leadership, collaboration, and technical skills who can execute on tactical and strategic initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree plus 3 years leadership experience OR 5 years of leadership experience in lieu of degree.
  • Experience with the creation and execution of strategic plans for highly complex issues
  • healthcare information services operations and support
  • experience standardizing complex and disparate processes
  • knowledge of the methodologies used for application management such as system deployment, support, and life cycle
  • experience in process improvement methodology, change management, operational improvement in complex systems.
  • Experience with interacting and communicating to all levels of an organization. Organizational, interpersonal, and communications skills and the ability to manage shifting priorities

Nice To Haves

  • Cisco Certifications are strongly preferred
  • 5-7 years of leadership experience is strongly preferred
  • Healthcare IS experience is strongly preferred
  • ITIL, COBIT certification.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Manages the operations of the enterprise network infrastructure for Scripps Health
  • Responsible for execution of the strategic plan for network infrastructure
  • Applying new and developing network technologies relevant in a healthcare environment
  • Creation and execution of strategic plans for highly complex network architecture and issues
  • Experience in highly regulated healthcare or life sciences information services operations and support
  • Experience standardizing complex and disparate processes
  • Knowledge of the methodologies used for network management such as network deployment, support, and life cycle
  • Experience in process improvement methodology, change management, and operational improvement in complex network environments
  • Experience with interacting and communicating at all levels of an organization. Organizational, interpersonal, and communications skills and the ability to manage shifting priorities are critical for success in this position.
