The Marketing Inventory Manager is passionate about understanding and anticipating supplier behavior to improve availability and operating margins. This outstanding individual will lead inventory requirements and weekly forecasting to ensure sufficient inventory for vacation package demand. This role will also monitor tour slots and collaborate with the field to enhance tour flow. A technical role reporting to the Director, Travel Partnerships, you will also work closely with Resort Inventory Management, Contact Center, BI, Finance, and Field Sales and Marketing. Excellent attention to detail is required to succeed in this role.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or similar duration of relevant experience
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in inventory management and/or hotel procurement is required
  • Previous leadership experience
  • GDS and other travel inventory systems

Responsibilities

  • Develop and complete inventory management and forecasting processes to ensure available inventory to fulfill vacation packages and improve production
  • Liaise with Resort Inventory Management to forecast resort inventory availability and usage, applying a strong working knowledge of AS400 and BI Reporting
  • Forecast both onsite and offsite production and cost monthly, collaborating with the Finance Team for inventory reporting
  • Take part in the budgeting process related to hotel/resort and other fulfillment requirements
  • Monitor tour slot/sales capabilities and work with sites to improve tour flow
  • Drive specific hotel and/or Bluegreen resort inventory usage
  • Provide a weekly updated projection 12 months ahead for previews by site
  • Provide a weekly updated analysis to confirm allotments are adequate and pinpoint hot spots, including data related to changing stop sale notifications and special event dates
  • Analyze weekly reports to ensure all products are competitively priced
  • Identify reporting needs to proactively resolve pacing, market trends, and other key factors that could determine potential inventory obstacles
  • Coordinate with the sites to resolve budgeted tours by day, handling inventory accurately to ensure adequate staffing for all tours
  • Monitor turndown reports and turn-away reports to identify room need areas, acting as a funnel for advanced room inventory requests from CX and Reservations
  • Support the Hotel Procurement Team with hotel prioritization and room night requirements
