About The Position

The Inventory Control Asset Protection Manager (ICAPM) is responsible for the overall integrity and accuracy of the physical inventory of the company, the development, implementation, and execution of initiatives to mitigate loss incurred through theft, fraud and operational process and the physical security of assigned operation(s). Key functions include the planning, execution, and reconciliation of full physical inventories/cycle count processes in warehouse locations, distribution process inventory control and ensures adherence to company objectives and initiatives through audit compliance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree (B. A. or B. S.) or equivalent from a four-year college/university in Business Administration, Inventory Management, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in an inventory related role in a retail distribution center environment.
  • Experience with physical security; Alarms, Access Control and CCTV.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must have proficient knowledge in Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Working knowledge of Dynamics AX.
  • Proficiency with Living Spaces software applications (i.e., routing, ticket system, CRM, AX, etc.) and an understanding of these applications for accurate maintenance of inventory.

Responsibilities

  • Key business partner, working in close partnership with other leaders in the DC and company
  • Staff management including hiring, scheduling, on boarding and performance management
  • Provide a high level of professionalism when working with internal and external business partners
  • Performance of annual inventory in the assigned DC as needed, and support stores with bi-annual inventory and cycle counting as needed
  • Reconcile and report on cycle counts performed within the assigned DC
  • Proficient in reading cycle count reports and performing proper research and adjustments
  • Analyze key metrics to identify potential deficiencies and financial risks in assigned areas
  • Provide cross functional training to help support Asset Protection initiatives
  • Work in close partnership with retail and warehouse leadership and team members to provide support, problem solving and information on asset protection/physical security concerns
  • Execution and partnership in the continuing development of the company audit program
  • Conduct internal and external investigations
  • Ensure the physical security of the facility, associates, and company assets
  • Flexibility when encountering evolving business objectives
  • Develop and execute the company’s business strategies in order to attain the goals of the board and shareholders.
  • Provide strategic advice so direct reports will have accurate view of the market and the company’s future.
  • Prepare and implement comprehensive business plans to facilitate.
  • Ensure company policies and legal guidelines are communicated all the way from the top down in the company and that they are followed at all times.
  • Communicate and maintain trust relationships with shareholders, business partners, and authorities.
  • Able to delegate responsibilities and supervise the work of direct reports providing guidance and motivation to drive maximum performance.
